Always confirm locations at celpip.ca
Test centre listings change — new sites open and some close. The cities and areas below are accurate as of 2026, but exact addresses and available dates must be confirmed through the official CELPIP booking system at celpip.ca when you register.
🏙️ Ontario
Ontario has the highest concentration of CELPIP test centres in Canada. Toronto and the GTA area alone account for dozens of available seats daily. Test centres operate through Prometric, the Language Training Institute (LTI), and a range of approved private institutions.
Toronto (Downtown & Midtown)
Multiple Prometric sites and LTI locations. Highest capacity in Canada — seats available most days.
Mississauga
Several locations near Square One and the airport corridor. Popular with GTA west applicants.
Brampton
Multiple sites. Strong availability year-round due to high local demand.
Scarborough / East Toronto
Available through Prometric and approved private centres.
North York
Several sites along Yonge corridor and Wilson Avenue.
Ottawa
Multiple downtown and suburban locations. Faster booking windows than Toronto.
Hamilton
Available through approved test centres. Good alternative if GTA is fully booked.
London
One or more Prometric locations. Faster availability than major metros.
Kitchener-Waterloo
Available. Useful for applicants from Waterloo Region and Cambridge area.
Windsor
Available. Less demand means easier bookings near exam dates.
🏔️ British Columbia
British Columbia is the second-largest CELPIP market. Paragon Testing Enterprises — the company that administers CELPIP — is based in Vancouver at UBC, which means BC has strong test centre infrastructure including the main Paragon facility.
Vancouver (UBC / Kitsilano)
Paragon Testing's main facility. Highest credibility and most test dates. Book early.
Vancouver (Downtown)
Multiple Prometric locations throughout downtown. Accessible by transit.
Burnaby
Several sites. Good option if downtown Vancouver is full.
Surrey
Multiple locations. High demand due to large local immigrant population.
Richmond
Available. Convenient for applicants in South Richmond and Delta.
Langley / Abbotsford
Available for Fraser Valley applicants. Lower demand, easier availability.
Victoria
One or more locations on Vancouver Island. Book early for island dates.
Kelowna
Available in the Okanagan. Best option for Interior BC applicants.
🛢️ Alberta
Alberta's CELPIP capacity has expanded substantially over the past two years alongside its immigration growth. Calgary and Edmonton are the primary hubs, with multiple Prometric locations in each city.
Calgary (Downtown)
Multiple Prometric sites. High availability due to growing test centre network.
Calgary (NE / SE)
Additional sites serving different quadrants of the city.
Edmonton (Downtown)
Multiple sites. Second-largest capacity in Alberta.
Edmonton (South / West)
Available. Good option if downtown Edmonton is full.
Red Deer
Available for Central Alberta applicants. Much easier to book than Calgary.
Lethbridge
Available in Southern Alberta. Good for applicants in the south.
How to book and what to know
Book at celpip.ca — no third-party sites
All CELPIP registrations go through the official celpip.ca website. There is no legitimate third-party booking system. If you see a site claiming to book CELPIP appointments for a fee, it is a scam.
Bring government-issued photo ID with your legal name
Your ID must match the name you registered under, exactly. The most accepted IDs are a passport and a provincial driver's licence. Discrepancies between your registration name and your ID will prevent you from taking the test — and you will not receive a refund.
Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time
Check-in includes ID verification, a photograph, and orientation. If you arrive late, you may not be admitted. The test begins at the scheduled time regardless of your arrival.
Rescheduling and cancellations
You can reschedule with sufficient notice (typically 3+ business days) for a rescheduling fee. Cancellations closer to the test date may result in a partial or full forfeiture of your fee. Check the exact policy when you register, as it can change.
Peak seasons: book 4–6 weeks in advance
Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are the busiest booking periods, coinciding with Express Entry draw activity. If you are preparing for a specific round deadline, give yourself a 6-week buffer between booking and when you need your results.
Other provinces and territories
CELPIP test centres also exist in Quebec (Montreal, Quebec City), Manitoba (Winnipeg), Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Regina), Nova Scotia (Halifax), New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. Availability varies significantly — smaller centres may have test dates only once or twice per month. If you are in a smaller city or rural area, check availability early and consider travelling to the nearest major centre if your target date is not offered locally.
